Your book wants

to be written.

That’s why it came to you in a dream.

Or, it pesters you in quiet moments.

You keep encountering people and places that remind you of its themes.

You have something to say.

I get it.

You’re telling yourself, I just need to do it. I need to sit down and write. Why am I so lazy? How is it that I want to get this story out so badly, and yet … I don’t do it.

You’ve tried morning pages. You’ve tried accountability groups. You’ve tried ambitious word count goals and social media challenges.

But, your problem isn’t willpower. It's nervous system regulation.

Nervous system regulation moves you into a safe and receptive mental state so you can access your full creative potential

It also clears your intuitive channel. Your intuition (or subconscious) is where all ideas come from, and it’s where your best writing comes from, too.

You want to write your best work? Learn to write more intuitively.

Some of you are already doing this. You know when you’re writing intuitively, because the words flow and it feels SO GOOD.

But it seems to come and go on whim and you don’t think you have any control. I’m going to change your mind about that!

You don’t need more writing craft classes, accountability, hard deadlines, or self-discipline.

I know a writer who writes in the bathtub.

Another who wrote an entire novel in her Notes app while bedbound with an injury.

Some writers meditate; others take hula hoop classes.

What gets you into flow will be unique.

What you need to find your flow is to learn the foundations of the creative process

Your creative flow seems to come and go on whim, and you don’t think you have any control.

I’m going to change your mind about that. 😜

Introducing:

TIME TO WRITE

Your self-paced course to learn spiritual practices so you can finish your book and release it into the world.

Do you want writing to be as pleasurable as reading? If so, you’re in the right place.

You don’t need to have experience with spiritual practices, or subscribe to any particular belief system for my framework to work for you.

The beauty of my system is that it uniquely brings together writing processes and non-dogmatic rituals. And for experienced meditators, you’ll get to connect how your existing practices can better fuel your writing.

  • If you’re a first-time writer, you’ll learn how to set yourself up for consistent progress with a sustainable and fun writing routine that is custom to you.

  • If you’re a bestselling author now frozen with fears of how to match your past successes, you’ll learn fundamentals of creativity and consciousness so you can build on what’s worked well for you in the past.

  • If you don’t even consider yourself a writer but know a book wants to come through you, you’ll get a crash course into an intuitively-guided writing process that will maximize your innate abilities.

When you join Time To Write, you’ll get:

  • A 4-week self-paced course, with new lessons automatically delivered 3x per week (valued at $200)

  • Identical lessons in text and audio, so you can easily toggle between reading while standing in line, or listening while driving to pick up the kids (valued at $100)

  • Weekly practical exercises to help move your current novel or screenplay forward (valued at $100)

  • Curated reading recommendations so your curious mind can go deeper on the course material (valued at $50)

  • 6 months access to a private community to discuss course material, get questions answered, and meet like-minded writers (valued at $180)

  • BONUS #1: 5-minute Energy Reset meditation (valued at $25)

I designed Time to Write to help you demystify creative flow, and turn it on whenever you want to. Let’s look inside!

Here’s a quick peek into the Course Modules:

Week 1 — Paradigm Shift: Matter vs. Energy

A fresh perspective on reality, cultural origins of this “new” point of view, and how it applies to writing. This will help you see where some of your current writing practices are counter-productive.

Week 2 — Nervous System Regulation

What happens to both your physical and energetic anatomy when you’re in fight or flight, versus a regulated state, and how it impacts your creative output.

Week 3 — Writing Is Channeling

Intuition development to better harness inspiration and translate it into creative decisions, plot points, and self-critique to improve your craft.

Week 4 — Writing Is Healing

Unpublished writing may feel like solitary or even invisible work, but guess what: You’re manipulating energy on other dimensions and this has a real impact on our world and everyone in it. Your inspiration is an assignment to write, for your healing and others.

Hi, I’m Dani.

I’m on a mission to help writers self-actualize to share their talents. Unlike most book coaches, I’m not about deadlines or accountability.

I work with people to re-regulate their nervous system so they can self-motivate from inspiration, not the inner critic.

I’m also a writing coach, book editor, podcast host, and yoga and meditation teacher.

  • Vetted by big literary, with fiction in Sheepshead Review, NonBinary Review, HAD, Nightshade Publishing, and long listed by Uncharted Magazine

  • Got paid to analyze Taylor Swift’s birth chart, with wellness essays and articles published by Well+Good, The Cut, and Refinery29

  • Earned my place in the Grammar Police™ with a master’s in journalism from Northwestern University

  • Honed my sixth sense with mindfulness certifications from The Path, Field Dynamics, MINKA Brooklyn, and Jupiter Yoga Wellness

 FAQs

  • Yes! This is a creativity course, and because I’m a fiction writer, many of my examples come from writing, but the concepts in this course apply to all kinds of creativity—illustration, podcasting, or even entrepreneurship.

  • You'll get lessons in your email three times a week for four weeks—12 lessons total. Each week there will be at least one practical exercise. I would estimate it takes four hours each week to get through the content and exercise. But, you don't have to do the lessons as soon as they come to you, and can take longer to digest the information. The content is information-heavy, and you will also get more out of it each time you go over it, should you decide to repeat the course.

  • If you have found your way to this page, I'm guessing you've had at least one idea for a novel or story. That counts! Your subconscious is already at work and this course will help you get in on the action.

I will offer some exercises which are intended to help you apply the course material and find progress with your current work in progress, but if you want to use these exercises on a new idea, that's fine, too.

  • A popular saying in the writing community is that "your last book won't write the next one."

Each book is its own animal with unique challenges.

This course will be accessible to someone writing their first novel, and also useful for anyone navigating an upper limit, ambitious project, or new challenges later in their writing career.

  • I won’t be prescribing specific methods, but teaching foundations, and I’ll offer examples from my own writing routine and the talented writers from my community. You’ll be able to apply the foundations to whatever practices or routines work for you.

  • I can share my personal rule for investing in my writing, which, for many years, I had no proof it would ever earn money or even be seen by anyone. I invest in a course when I hit a plateau. When I've read books and blog posts and practiced on my own, and can't see how to surmount the gap to get better. I believe that when we hit the plateau, we could spend 10 days or 10 years and not make any headway. From there, I do a mix of narrowing down what area I need help in, and what teacher or coach I'm intuitively drawn to. I look for someone who has what I want or is a step ahead of me on the journey, and I binge their free online content to see if it's a vibe fit. Once I've done that, I feel pretty good about giving them cash, because by that point they've already helped me.

  • Due to the digital nature of this course, there are no refunds.

  • I channeled it 🙃

Think of the books that changed your life. It’s because the author had the courage to speak differently about a familiar issue and expand the collective consciousness.

You can be that for us.

Time To Write is a self-guided course. It will take most people around five hours per week for four weeks. By the end, you’ll have a pleasurable writing routine you look forward to, and you’ll have made considerable progress on your book.

You can start any time, but the sooner you do, the sooner we get to read your masterpiece.

So, why not start now?
