So interesting how reporters take one day per week for “traffic-whoring duty.” Sounds like this draws new visitors who have never been to Gawker before. Is this fair? To make reporters, who are capable of writing substantive, original content, write fluffy crap?
Sounds like they enjoy it.
It sort of sounds nice, I wonder if other, more serious news outlets would try this. I wonder if their reporters would like it. And if it could bring a steady stream of new audience to their site who would, then, become addicted to the longer, more engaging pieces they’re already writing.
