There are some people in the world who think we need more flowers. I mean, how can we “stop to smell the roses” if there aren’t any flowers on the walk from the Red Line to the office? I unfortunately missed it, but planting season was kicked off in Chicago last weekend. At about 10:00 pm on April 30, the group dressed in their best ninja attire, met up at a pre-planned plot (the intersection of Chicago and State), and planted Marigolds.
There was a looming hurricane coming the entire night and so we were extra efficient. Lots of people stopped us to ask what we were doing– this was definitely the most visible spot to date. It turned out beautiful and we literally took the last group shot about 10 seconds before a downpour.
